Vashu bhagnani's faltu was one of the many offers that sonakshi said 'no' to." Bhagnani was said to be desperately looking for a leading lady to be cast in faltu. "vashu Bhagnani had earlier approached priyanka chopra, who also turned the film down." Now vashu has finally zeroed in a pooja gupta, who won the miss india title in 2007 to play the female lead. "Mimoh chakraborty has been cast in the film too. Faltu's plot revolves around two friends who fall for the same girl and outdo each other ti woo her." The film marks the debut of choreographer remo fernandes as a director.
